my younger brother ran a 9600 to 8000 hours and made lots of the sheet metal repair parts himself, like the shoe auger trough. He keeps the older machine around for new operators to run and learn on and it is basically as reliable as his other machines which have a lot less hours. He is currently on his second 7000 plus hour 9600 and I have seen that first 9600 run the whole season without a problem,(at 7000 hrs) and then the next season it might be the problem machine, you never know.
