Leesburg, Ohio | I'm green thru and thru, and never had any color combines but green, so I can't compare brands, and the newer ones do run alot more bushels per hour, but I would agree with the thought that the augers on the newer deeres (9x10's, 50's, and 60's) do not last like the ones on the 20 series, or even the one on the early 9000's. I don't think $2 per acre will cover our maintenance, either, but we do have the dealer go thru them about every other year, so that might increase our cost a bit, but we think it decreases downtime. | |
