2018 and newer have start/stop, I think they call it, engine shuts off if you aren't moving, starts when you press the gas. Like a golf cart. Emissions crap I think.

It's for fuel economy; has been common in Europe for years. I love it in our 2019 Traverse, but a person needs to re-learn how to start from a stop sign again since the engine needs to re-start.
