Would checking for voltage on the blue wire do the same thing? I have checked that and I get up to 6 volts also is Hyperterminal software on my laptop. I went to the web site and can download a free trial but could not find it on my laptop. If I were getting the messaging out of the 500 what would be the next thing to look for.
