Can't remember exactly at this time, but I believe all the internal workings were the same. Cast grates, burners,shields. Stuff Like that. I just did a search for Genesis vrs Spirit grill. Also American Test Kitchen picked the Spirit as their best grill. You can go to their web site and look it up.
