| I had rotator cuff surgery Jan 2017, took a year before it felt close to normal, exactly how long my therapist said it would take. She claimed due to the severity of my injury, and age (66) .I should have had shoulder replacement and that recovery would have been easier & 1/2 the time. She also.said.I.would need replacement in 5 years
Hope she's wrong but have talked to.se eral.older people who.had r.c. surgery & ended up needing replacement in 5-6 years.
I would get another opinion. I need knee replacement, have found.theycan do "non-invasive" knee and hip replacement where they don't cut the muscles. Done as outpatient and many walk out without a cane 2 hours after surgery, plus 1/2 time for therapy. Might check & see if they have something similar for shoulder | |
