Mount Vernon, WA | That looks like a Deutsch "DT" style connector. There should be a number on the body, I've never seen one without a number - get a magnifying glass if you need to. Yes, there are different configurations. For example, the plug that you're holding in that picture could have either female sockets or male pins for contacts. If there is a "S" in the part number, then it's designed for female "sockets". If there is a "P" in the part number, it's designed for male "pins".
