In my opinion going electric drive would have some positive benefit to your seed spacing, but would it be enough to justify the cost? According to all the university studies I’ve seen a perfect picket fence stand has little roi. If you didn’t have clutches or wanted an automated downforce system I’d say go for it. But for only seed spacing I don’t know if it’d be worth it.

One thing I’ve heard causes issues with the case metering system is having the pwm valve so far away from the motor. Might consider adding a pwm valve closer to the motor and bypassing the valve block.
