Jefferson, SD
New last spring before planting. I did everything on the hex shaft. I found a set of new take off row clutches for <$100 each so did them too. I even replaced the double sprocket, idlers etc going to the row unit. Both hydraulic drive motors were also replaced with new take offs. New 36 cell discs and meter covers. I've done it all and some of it twice. Can't get there. I've heard there is a bit of a known issue in the hydraulic block that feeds the fan and the 2 hyd section drive motors. The explanation I got was that it somewhat shares oil and when you hear the fan surging (which I do) it is also affecting the drive motors. The planter is excellent other than spacing.
