 n.c.iowa | Test weight is not only a function of the density of the kernel itself, but how well the kernels pack together, so beings a good portion of the kernels are exposed to the elements(greater surface area of flat pile vs a bin) it is conceivable that the kernels themselves are kinda “rough up” and don’t pack so good.
The bigger question is if you got the same bushels out you put in?
