I had the same problem at my last job.  They would get oil soaked and would not breathe.  Like others said have multiple pairs of boots and rotate through them. In the summer my feet get wet every day and I'm on them for 12-14 hrs.  I have 4 pairs of boots that I rotate through.  Seemed like leather boots age fast when they get wet and then blast them with hot air to dry them.
