EC GA | You're thinking just like I've been. The engines are very similar, because they were a joint venture between Cummins and Fiat/Iveco. The big difference is where the gear train and auxiliary drive are located. Most of the older mechanical injection Cummins were front gear. The Iveco engines were almost all rear gear. The auxiliary pump would have to be relocated, and the gear profile is different as well, so another drive would have to be sourced that would match. Motor mounts would have to be changed as well. May still be an option though. | |
