I like a simple 4 wire barb wire fence. With 4 wires bottom wire can be 12" high so you can mow underneath. 5 steel t posts then a wood post will stay tight on varied terrain. Put in good braced ends.
Why a wood post every so often? I’ve seen that and wondered why they do that.
