I accept few basic principals not necessarily in order of priority.

Nutrition and Environmental factor effect fertility and tight calving philosophy more than genetic improvement toward that.  Because accepting that statement to achieve a high goal of fertility it is very expensive.  Both on the front end and the back end expenses of loosing females.

Then on longterm farms/ranch programs, not Puff original program. Not a bad producing cow on the farm/ranch because they are eliminated for producing dinks.  Thus putting them on probation is allowable, but must me blended with other management marketing goals.  Hitting better cow market window.ect. Where to go if operation needs money, maybe down payment for land, or herd reduction numbers due to a drought.
