| Every operation is different, but for me and my neighbors. We run a desert cattle operations. We calve in spring and have to be able to trail cows out to spring and summer range. So I need a tight calving window, to deliver a sorted and uniform loads in the fall. We sell on video contracts, so I need uniform loads at certain weights. Only way to do it is preg check and cull opens and gummers. Cows only last us around 10 years and their teeth are gone, so we have to watching age on cows. And those culls are a big portion of our income. | |
