| My experience is fungal compost is best for our sandy soils in Western Nebraska. Fungal strands attach to the root system allowing better utilization of available water. Bacterial compost helps break down the available nutrients already in the soil.
We apply 4 ton of compost to soybean ground each year. No other fertilizer is given to the soybeans. We apply 2 ton of compost on corn ground and apply 200 lbs UAN in the spring. We are getting enough NPK with the compost. | |
