Subject: RE: Satellite Internet Provider Options?

We have starband and use the Nova service. We were using the basic service then upgraded to the 'Nova 1000' Package. After upgrading we did see an increase in performance. As someone mentioned, it is better than nothing, but if you have any other alternatives I would go with that. I know sprint, AT&T Verizon all have some type of mobile broadband that might work if you have cell coverage. DSL over the phone lines, even a "WISP" Wireless internet provider.

Pro's With satellite (Starband)
1.) If it's all available then you can get on the internet, my average bandwidth is:
Lag: 1000 ms
Download: 1000
Uplaod: 70

Source: PCpitstop.com/internet

Cons:
Seems to be spotty, browsing sites and then all of a sudden....wait....wait...wait...ok, keep surfing
Can be dependent on weather or something else...The way the sun shines??
They do limit your usage, but I think the mobile broadband is also capped at 5 GB a month

So, there you have it, any questions, let me know.

Thanks,
Clayton
