| I know you are in the business, so it is easy for you and other more experienced people to provide that kind of info if you were in that boat. But you also need to realize that there are a lot of people out there that know only where the power button is and the "Internet" shortcut icon on their desktop.
I know - my folks, who are in their mid 60's, are this way. Mom or Dad will call me up with an issue and ask the same sort of questions I read on here. Sometimes I can decipher the issue and help them out over the phone, sometimes it takes a trip down there to diagnose.
I agree however, that posters asking about issues should try and offer as much information as they are able to - in order for the rest of us to be able to help them. But for the inexperienced, we just need to be patient and work through it with them. | |
