WC Mn/Dakotas | Yes it is an easy way to put data into ccfv and use any "service" ccfv provides to you. Anything else in any other precision ag sysyem, you will want the data you get to come directly off the monitor. If some fluke happens and monitor data is bad or lost, then and only then would i use puck or jd wdt data. It is 30x more likely you will lose puck or jd wdt data than lose monitor data. And no more accurate than ccfv reports are at the end of the day or the fact that it is using uncleaned data, i really dont see any value in ccfv while your harvesting. Reports i get from my brothers combines from ccfv say such n such field, so many acres harvested and then 266 bu/acre and 21% moisture. Then i log in to his ccfv web account and the field shows 220 bu/acre. If it didnt take 17hours to read the ccfv .dat file into sms, export it to yield editor from another program, then still have to manually clean it when it gets to GK, i would tell you the real world bu/acre, but i dont have that kind of time right now. Guys that have jd gs3 data i can and do look at in season and make changes before i soil sample if needed. | |
