| Another option, in our area we have people who do a "1st right of refusal". Current renter has option to match whatever someone else wants to pay. This usually goes for new rent contracts and buying the land out as well. Thing I, if the current renter is paying $X and new prospect offers $X plus, original renter knows the true value of the land. If it's 2 totally new people on the land offer, yeah sounds like OP was gettin screwed. | |
