Subject: Transmission fluid got hot today while planting

Virginia
I did a trial run with the new to me 6 row 1750 vacuum planter and the 4430. Planted about 2 hours and when finishing up the transmission temp light came on.

Everything is hooked up correctly as per the operators manual and as according to discussions here on agtalk.

Vacuum was running at 7" and it would run higher if a higher setting was needed. The oil cooler appears to be clean and the hydraulic oil was just changed.

I'm thinking I have a bad internal leak and the main pump is running at near full capacity and not feeding enough oil through the cooler. It is my understanding that the cooler is not a full flow cooler and, if the pump is at capacity, little will be going through the cooler. Please correct me if this isn't correct.

The hydraulic system worked OK until today. Thanks for any help.
