My thoughts are to start with a Trimble EZ Guide 500 on WAAS. Then later I can upgrade to RTK with the same unit.
I would go to Omni* after WAAS and see if you are happy with it. If you think you are going to get along with WAAS I would try Omni* before spending the money on RTK.
