Why does it have to be one or the other.  Let your wife take a couple loads and also have the neighbor help out and get the job done faster, also you'll get to see if you can really save any money and if your wife is up for the task.  I think your neighbor and you have a fair deal!  Prices aren't always set off of what the cost associated with it; but more so who is willing to do it for what amount.   Lets just say your neighbor is .02 cents too high and he hauls 25,000 bushels so he comes out ahead 500 dollars total, but maybe you have borrowed his backhoe (example) this year or does he lend you a hand occasionally?? And is he a good neighbor??  If any answer is Yes then I would never say a word!
