Texting does have it's merits. We use it at work on our SCADA and alarm systems. If I have a power failure and a generator starts at one of my tower sites, I get a text message. Great for keeping track of HVAC system status and other things that need babysitting. It is also great to use to communicate with fellow employees. I might do one or two a day at most.

You should see the college girls texting their brains out down here. I've never seen fingers move so fast!
