I just got metric bolts slightly larger than the standard bolt and drilled the boots and bracket out slightly and the bolt fits tight and everything is tight like new.
That's what we did on our 1990. Ours didn't require any drilling, other than just cleaning up the rough factory hole on a coule boots. They take a 12 mm bolt, and you have to get it long enough so it wears on the smooth part and not on the threads. Think it was 110 or 120 mm long. Ours didn't really have any wear, they just have way oversize holes from the factory for the 3/8" size bolt they put in them. I think ours had 3/4" movement when it was new. |
