North Central Indiana | Great job on your tote garden. I drilled a drain hole 8" down from soil level to keep excess rain from flooding the totes since I keep the valve closed. I use a quick coupler with an elbow and upright pvc pipe to add water thru the banjo valve at the bottom. Capillary action draws moisture up. I have not noticed an algae problem on totes but painting the totes black should help. Myself, I like to see where the water level is. | |
