Big Sky Country | last yr had hay barley, went back in with millet under pivot, had it up shortly after aug 1---figured maybe hay or at least pasture.
it finally started coming on, not quite knee hi, froze and pretty much shrunk up to not much.
what was I thinking? Oats woulda been probably way better and it'll stay green till thanksgiving, lotsa yrs.
this yr I'm gonnna try turnips, radishes, some oats, and some?? for cover/grazing/compaction | |
