I don't follow you, Ed.

Why would there be a windrow left behind? I'm envisioning that sweep auger going into a tube, perhaps starting with just a back, then a back and bottom and top, then completely surrounded. Once inside the tube, it can goto a transition like the joint in a swing away auger.
