| Lightning, I've actually talked about doing the exact same thing on some land that I farm. It is prone to holding too much moisture and thought this might be (cheap man's tile). I figured if I actually had the automatic grade function on it would drain the land, albeit slower than actual drain tile would but for a fraction of the price. My biggest concern for you and for me would be hard rains driving (in my case) top soil down into the slot. We don't have an overabundance of topsoil so, might this be a concern? Anyway, I like the idea of trying it on a small portion rather than all. By the way my dirt on this land is like beach sand, only black. | |
