Callao, Missouri | It looks to me that the hoop buildings are pretty cheap to build as long as they are under 40' in diameter. How about building more than one? That would probably mean a higher cost per square foot, but would give you a lot more options in storing different hay lots or equipment. If you lost the tarp on one, it wouldn't do as much damage. Fire and equipment/operator damage would also be an issue for me if I was putting hay in one.
I'd like to have a 60x90 for a cattle working shed/recieving area for the little calves I sometimes buy, but it would have to be put partially on the floor of a barn that was lost to a tornado. The floor is poured in different section heights so I'm not sure how I'd anchor it without spending as much as just building a regular steel building.
