Subject: Hi Jack ,but related

Graymont Illinois

I have combined corn plots for years. Not the plot planner but the tenant.

?'s I have are based on my 8 row narrow/ per variety plots.

Pollen drift,: seedcorn companies require these distances from there corn.

Sweetcorn patches  require distance from non-like sweetcorns of the same maturity.

Whenever I combine corn plots, you can see the differences of varieties almost to the row.

Tall variety next to short variety, or standing corn next to down corn variety

If pollen drifted as much as you would think, I would think test plots would be tainted just by cross pollination.

But visual combining of plots, does not seem to see cross pollination.

Just a ? I have had for years.

Getting late, better get out the guns.

Only have one day a year to bag a caribou :>) in central Illinois

But I always seem to fall a sleep, and somebody steals my milk and cookies

Take care Brian
