AS FAR AS LCD vs. PLASMA,plasma is brighter but lcd works better in a glare situation. If you have glare problems with your old "tube" I'd go lcd if not then plasma is the better choice.
When you go to the big box store stand back and try to compare at a comparable distance to your home, also stand off to the side and see which has the sharpest viewing angle. | |
