WC Franklin Co., In. | I'm with IADAVE on this one. If you do all of your own repairs and do a lot of them, a shop can pay for itself pretty quick... especially if they are big repairs. On the other hand, if harvest is slowed by not having a place to go with the grain, a bin can pay for itself pretty quick. It all depends on your personal situation. Used properly, they can both pay big. $50k won't go very far for building a shop. It will get you the shell of the building and concrete and wiring if you do most of it yourself, but I will tell you, it is a real pain to finish out with insulation and interior walls after you've moved in and been using it for a couple years. Been there, done that with my garage at the house. If you decide on the shop, I strongly recommend to get enough money to finish it out before ever using it. | |
