| In Canada, metric socket sets are still in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1" square socket drive.
I suppose, to conform to metric usage, eventually the sizes of the drive won't change, maybe referred to as 6mm, 10mm, 13mm, 19mm, 25mm, but I have never seen it as such. Perhaps just keep it the way it is, with metric bolt sizes and imperial drive so the sizes can't be confused with one another.
I suppose the idea of introducing metric pipe thread sizes in north america will go over like a lead balloon. | |
