Mid-Michigan | joined October 1958 and got discharged on Feb 9 1962 on my wifes birthday. Basic training at Fort Riley Kansas and shipped to Baumholder Germany in april 59. Lost the sight of an eye playing football and send to Walter Reed hospital in november of 60. Then on to Fort Meade Maryland until discharged. Was extended in august of 61 due to the Berlin wall going up.
We never heard of Vietnam but there were people there. Made life long friends and enjoyed it but didn't want to stay.
