Bremen, KS | '77 should be right as I was a freshman in high school that fall and recall the AAM/tractorcade taking place during that time. Support for it was not universal amongst the relatives and neighbors. The group put some amount of pressure on the businesses in Marysville, as I recall, to put a "We support agriculture" sticker prominently at the entrance. I seem to recall the manager of the Pennys store refusing to place a sticker. I'm not sure if the store ever put one up or not.
Looking back, I wonder if the only result was the forcing of the ag depression of the '80s.
