Colby, Kansas
Hay,

I don't know Dr. Kilgore well as he was at the Southeast station in Parsons and I haven't had a lot of interaction there. I do know he had tremendous respect from producers in the region and others in the KSU system. He retired in March of 07 after 40 years with KSU and is now an Emeritus Faculty. I believe he is still involved in organizing the Kansas Hay and Grazing Conference.

K-State is rather thin on hay/forage/range folks right now. Jon Fritz, who was in Manhattan recently took a medical retirement. That leaves Clenton Owensby and Walt Fick in the Agronomy department in Manhattan. Not sure but there may be someone from Ani. Sci. that also works in that area.

Thanks for explaining your operation, always good to learn about an unfamiliar aspect of ag.

Lucas
