Ditto on all comments so far. Some varieties are just worse. If I had to lean toward what works best for the reel, I'd go higher and slower. For me being a little too slow has been better than a little too fast. Sometimes you have to also adjust your ground speed. It's also better to not try to let a small wad "work" its way off. There may be a sweet spot for reel speed, height, and ground speed combinations. It's just that the spot is so small that it's hard to find with some varieties. Taller beans are generally worse. As one post mentioned, it improves as the beans dry down. A good frost or freeze might cure your woes.

Maybe you're making 60+ bushels and the overall frustrations are less!?
