Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I agree with the above Reply. The SRAM cards are available but pricey, difficult to find readers for and are limited in capacity.
It is possible to install a PF3000 or Advantage in your combine but it will reqire an adapter cable available from Ag Leader which is built specifically for this situation.
If you do go with a PF3000 or Advantage you will need an ATA flash card or equivalent. The full size cards are available from sources such as envoy.com.
It is possible to use a sleeve adapter and a Compact Flash card as an alternative. The Compact Flash card size should be limited to 32 Meg or smaller. Compact Flash cards are readily available but my be more difficult to find in the smaller size due to the fact that they are most commonly used in cameras where a large size is desirable. The operating system in the PF3000 or Advantage has problems with large capacity memory cards.
The advantage of using the CF cards is their flexibility. With the sleeve they can be used in the Combine or read by a laptop computer. By removing the CF card from the sleeve they can be read directly by any of the card readers which are designed for that pupose. The multi-card readers are available at Wal-Mart or most computer stores for $20-$30. |
