Burlington, IA | I have just started to get my supply of product guides for '09 from NuTech. The guide lists 7 LL varieties from 0.6 to 4.1 maturity for '09. I'm sure supplies will be limited, and sales are also subject to final product approval, which is probably still pending at this time. 4 of the 7 have cyst resistance, and disease scores look pretty good. The book states no yield drag or lag associated with the trait. They have also expanded the conventional bean lineup with 9 varieties available from 1.7 to 3.9 maturities. I already have clients and dealers looking at conventional and/or LL beans for next year. This could get interesting.
