Saskatchewan | First off that is a beautiful stand, whats your yield expectations? How much fert have you put down? Looking at those heads I would tend to agree that it looks like you have kyle contamination. One thing to look for is that a navigator head will be shorter and but fatter than a kyle head, also navigator's beards will turn black as it starts to turn where as the kyle generally does not have black beards. The way viterra operates it wouldnt suprise me if there is contamination, last year we seeded navigator for a neighbour and it had chopped bungie chords spread out throughout the seed and we didnt catch it til the first tank should of been out, it got seeded light and chewed up our metering auger not to mention the end got caught in the manifold which is the only reason we found the problem when I checked for seed, what isnt shocking is that they took no responsibility for it even though neither the grower or our farm use bungie chords | |
