I had one that stumped a tech and I. I told him I did a tune up in the distributor, I think a Pertronix upgrade. It didn't come with a rotor and I didn't know any better!!! Expensive lesson learned, but it would show spark and proper timing when pulling a plug wire, but when you needed it, the spark wasn't there. We couldn't figure out fuel, ignition, or compression for quite some time.
