The cooler and wetter the weather the more silk mass there is. Warm and dry ..less silks. We have massive amounts of silk this year. Perfect weather for pollination. Also for aphids.
Noticed lots of jap beatles in wisconsin last week at my brothers place. They had some small trees half defoliated.
