Subject: RE: Deer's in corn and beans

Decaturville TN
The dead carcases don't scare the deer here. I have seen dear step over dead carcases to walk into a field to eat soybeans. My game warden is a good one he will give me the OK on the phone to shoot and come out to the farm in a day or two to do the paperwork. The most damage I get is right after the beans come up. I try to thin the deer then and I am sure more deer come in the area later but by then the beans are big enough that the deer don't do as much damage. It takes a lot of 3" tall beans to fill a deer up but not so many knee high ones. I have sat at the edge of fields late in the evening and shot a deer, keep sitting, 20 minutes later more come out, drop another, keep sitting, 20 more minutes shoot another, etc.
