Subject: RE: Chopping Alfalfa

NE Oregon
I should amend that to "need a way to haul silage from field to pit" we have a couple of options currently that would do the trick with some conversions. A single axle 2 ton cattle truck could have the box converted to haul silage, a small dump truck that could either haul silage (but too small) or hook up to a wagon/trailer. Also have tractors to just buy a wagon to tow with. We don't need anything, what we do works. but like another poster said, on irrigated ground the turn around to getting water back on the acres is much faster and should result in greater tonnage/acre for winter feed.
