Yes, if they are able to do the job. Some are no longer able to do much at age 60, others might still be doing things at 100. I've had the pleasure of retired farmers doing some work for me during the busy seasons. They seem to enjoy the work, and I appreciate their experienced help. It's important to remember they are here because they want to be here, not because they have to be here. There are times they will want to see the grand kids or have other things going on. It's important not to push them too hard. If they really wanted to work that hard, they would not have retired. I keep their work safe, physically easy, and the hours short. They show up the next day well rested and ready to go.
