King City, Mo | Not in my back yard! Everyone wants cheap food, fuel, and energy but doesn't want the plant or whatever close to them as it smells or too much traffic.
Well if everyone had a chicken coop in their back yard their would be no need for large chicken farms and no large piles of poo to complain about. The cost of eggs and fried chicken would be a lot higher so pick your poison.
We got some palletized chicken poo for an organic guy in this week and I'll spread it with my fertilizer cart when it dries up. Has a slight odor but not bad. Costs a lot as the place to get it from is almost 700 miles away.
If you want cheap power but think coal and nuclear power plants are bad for the environment and don't want one in your town that's part of the deal.
If you want green energy put ugly solar panels on your house or put up a wind tower. We have the wind towers around here and some of the land owners said after it's all said and done they should of said no.
