it takes a LOT of what may look like "expansion" at this point to even stabilze stock cow numbers in the usa.
( and AU, And BR )
It's a year early to read "expansion:" ( or even beef cow herd number stabilization in the usa )
Fat heifer harvest ( slaughter ) needs to be down in the 29 to 30% of total fed harvest range for those heifers to be calfing ...THEN like NEXT Spring ( 2015 ).
Hiefer mix is currently 37 to 48% of fed harvest weekly.
