Milo,

First off, let me say I hope and pray it gets better for you and your family soon! I know EXACTLY how you feel,,,,,,,,when you look out your back picture window and cannot see the shop in the yard its bad! When you drive down the lane out of your yard going to town and cannot see the end of the hood of the vehicle, its bad! On an Easter Sunday, when you LITERALLY load up your wife and kid and drive west to the Rocky Mountains for the day JUST to get OUT of the WIND and DUST,,,its BAD!!

Those are all things that happenned to us here in 2001/2001 (Northern Montana). A LOT of soul searching took place!! Crop Insurance and CRP were our saving grace here and I will NEVER forget that!!

A lot of people reading your posts and mine here as well will ask out loud, "Why in the h e l l do they even farm there?" Particularly the row croppers from the Midwest will wonder that....and I dont mean to start anything but they JUST DONT HAVE A CLUE......when you are on your Great Grandfathers Homestead,,you just dont quit, or pick up and leave,,,its not as simple as that...............................

Anyway, I have attatched a newspaper article that I was included in as well as a letter from a friend who saw the article and sent it to me,,,,,,,,that is me in the photo.....................................I got letters and calls from dang near the entire lower 48 from people who saw the article......even got letters from people with the same last name wanting to know if we were related,,,strange,,,very strange!

Hopefully you will get a bin buster one of these years!! Things finally changed for the better here and I am probably a better farmer/manager for the experience, but I wouldnt wish it on my WORST enemy!!
