| It's my understanding that an Air Marshal team does a personal introduction to the flight crew AND to any other armed passenger (Fed LEO, prisoner transport, etc.). Though I do remember reading about issues the FAMs teams were beginning to encounter due to the airlines short staffing everything, making discreet introductions difficult, so my understanding may now be way off.
